#EmpoweringFutures: Help Our Students Through the Pandemic

A festive crowd, tasty appetizers, free-flowing drinks. Normally, this is the week we would have gathered at John G. McGurk’s for our annual Access Winter Party. It’s a fun-filled evening aimed at celebrating student success and raising awareness of the Access mission. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts to continue the tradition, we’ve made the tough but necessary decision to cancel this year’s event.
But simply because we can’t be together in person doesn’t mean we can’t still celebrate our young scholars ⏤ or support the inspiring work of our dedicated Graduate Support team. In place of this year’s McGurk’s party, we’re launching #EmpoweringFutures, a campaign aimed both at spreading the word about Access and raising $5,000 for tuition assistance and programming. And we need your help to do both!
In addition to watching and sharing the above video, we invite you to support our Access students by making a 100% tax-deductible contribution below. During 2020, we witnessed the incredible strength and resilience of our scholars, staff, parents, and partner schools. Parents lost jobs and wages, students coped with remote learning, and our staff and partner schools adapted on the fly to new academic expectations and safety protocols due to COVID. It has been a challenging time, to say the least. And while your gift this year may not include a buffet or open bar, our collective contributions will have an immediate impact and directly help Access’ students and families.
