New Enrichment Programs Kick Off at Access Middle Schools
Thanks to exciting new community partnerships with several local organizations, we expanded our middle school enrichment programs this academic year. In addition to adding soccer with New Dimensions at St. Cecilia and robotics with the Clavius Project at St. Louis Catholic Academy, students can now take Poetry in Rhythm and Rhyme with the popular theatrical company The Black Rep and learn how to play piano with Pianos for People, an organization that provides free access to the transformative power of music to children and families with limited resources.
And in a testament to the long-lasting relationships we form with our students, Maryville University and Nerinx Hall graduate Erika Valenzuela (pictured above) returned to her alma mater, St. Cecilia, to teach a 6th-grade enrichment course in graphic design.
