Meet the Team: Vivian Garcia, Graduate Support Director

The first graduate of the Access program to return as a staff member, Vivian (Rosati-Kain Academy ’17) worked as a practicum student at her alma mater, St. Cecilia School & Academy (’13), during her senior year at Fontbonne University (’21). After earning her bachelor’s degree in social work, she joined the Access team full-time as a Graduate Support Counselor and was promoted to Graduate Support Director in 2022. “I joined Access because I wanted to return to the South Side community and support young people through high school and college,” says Garcia. “I went through the Access program. I saw first-hand how much the counselors at Access care about their students and that inspired me.” When not working, Vivian enjoys walks with husband and two dogs and sampling the city’s diverse array of food.
