Access’ Summer Scholars Back in Full Swing

After several years of virtual or day programming due to the pandemic, Access’ Summer Scholars Program was back in the dorms this year as our rising high school seniors spent a week living on campus at Harris-Stowe State University. Designed to equip students for college success, our weeklong program included enriching sessions on interviewing, essay writing, ACT Prep, financial literacy, career development, and financial aid.

Attendees also took tours of Ranken Technical College, St. Louis Community College, and Fontbonne University; attended a college fair; conducted speed interviews; and enjoyed a step show on the quad! Not to mention, our students once again were able to experience the community and camaraderie of living on a college campus. Thank you to Harris-Stowe and our partners at Marian Middle School and Loyola Academy, as well as to our Graduate Support and College & Career teams for putting this transformative program together!
